Uni was kindly invited in to the governor's office

This generator used to power the entire plant when it started
They burnt the sugar cane that couldn't be used to make sugar
This is the huge boiler that produced all the steam But even with steam power, the governor still traveled by horse and cart

Uni began wih an instruction video

She started off small, outside the steamer

Then she tried the upright pressure pipes

Before opening the large syrup tank

This was WAY TOO BIG, it would need at least two unicorns to turn

Osman took us for a walk along the coast while eating our warm, 'melt in the mouth' patisseries

We chose to eat breakfast on the terrace

A brief trip to the west side

The stunning trip to ISLES AUX CERFES

The boat ride there was rough but we saw beautiful things.We had a delicious BBQ and were entertained by a small band where the guitarist was sporting the greatest moustache Uni has ever seen.

The boat to the waterfalls was REALLY fast and Uni very sensibly kept out of the wind and spray

but marvelled at the stunning fallsSoaking up the sun, dreaming of fluffy clouds to sit on

Having watched fish in the shallows all day Uni tries some

After a light spot of reading Uni watches the sun go down over this idyllic setting

After jumping up at the table Uni was banished to the floor by mean aunty Sarah

The beautiful Bird of Paradise

The forbidden idol

Apparently one family paid for this giant Hindu god to be built and transported over from China. It stood atop the mountains just above a religious lake where pilgrims all converge once a year.
